Gritting Issues
[uploaded 7th February)

Everone is well ware of events during the recent cold snap, and how it affected them. If you are interested in the NCC's gritting policy or the Local Transport Plan (LTP - which could have implications as to which roads are looked after in adverse weather), then click HERE for their policy and HERE for an update on the LTP. Please note these are LARGE files and will take a while to download - it depends on your system.

If you'd like to see some correspondence from the H&S putting the record straight about people helping their community by gritting/clearing footpaths then click HERE.

Bus Services
[uploaded 6th June]

Rothbury is now served by an hourly bus service from Morpeth and in turn these are easily accessed from further afield eg Newcastle. This gives visitors to the North-East an excellent opportunity for a day trip into the countryside for walks, or a pleasant picnic down by the riverside and play area in Rothbury. To view the timetables please click HERE.
